DeSalvo, Salvatore M., December 26. Born October 2, 1928 and raised in The West End of Boston, of Belmont for 48 years, and Sunrise of Arlington since 2013. Beloved husband of the late Patricia A., (Salvatore). Loving father of Monica and her partner Markos Hankin of Arlington; and Michael and his wife Jennifer of Bellingham. Grandfather of Antony Kellermann, Sarah and Timothy DeSalvo. Brother of the late Angelina Russo, Grace Coletti, Jane Sciaraffa and Rose Vatalaro. Relatives and friends are invited to visit in The DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass Avenue ARLINGTON on Sunday 2:00 to 6:00pm and to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 9:00am at St. Joseph's Church, Common Street, Belmont. Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology at St. Louis University and graduated from Boston University. He attended graduate school at Northeastern University. He spent his career as an aeronautical engineer. He was proud of his memorable upbringing in the West End, and he continued to attend social outings monthly with his childhood friends and served in The Army Air Forces from 1946 to 1949 as an airplane and engine mechanic.
