MaryAnn Monica Lagomarsino, age 80, of Lexington, passed away on June 16, 2019, due to complications from a brief illness. She was born to parents Louis and Elvira (Garibotto) Lagomarsino, on August 13, 1938 in Somerville, Massachusetts. Her grandparents arrived in Boston’s North End from Genoa in 1873, and she grew up on Porter Street in Somerville. She has lived in Lexington since 1961. MaryAnn graduated from Somerville High School and Garland Junior College in Boston. She worked for many years as a receptionist at the Hofmann Insurance Agency in Belmont. She had an incredibly inquisitive mind, was a wonderful conversationalist, and loved spending time with her family and friends. MaryAnn brought joy to everyone she met. She especially loved her cats, and supported causes that promoted the well-being of animals. MaryAnn was a great fan of all Boston sports, and enjoyed listening to the Red Sox on the radio. She was simply overjoyed when they finally won the World Series in 2004. She leaves behind her sister Barbara Manuel and her brother-in-law Joaquim (Jack) Manuel of Lexington; her nephew Mark and wife Rosemary of Andover; her nephew Paul and wife Anne Marie of Washington, DC; her nephew David and wife Anne of Lexington; grand-nieces Shannon, Molly, Kerry, Maria and Rosa; and, grand-nephews David and Andrew. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Barbara Church, Woburn at 10 AM on Saturday July 27. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Following internment at Westview Cemetery, Lexington. A reception will take place after internment at St. Brigid Parish, 2001 Mass. Ave in Lexington in Kielty Hall (beneath the church).
